About Us

At K.I.N. Care Collective Inc, our purpose is simple yet profound: to ensure that every child, young person and family has the opportunity to live safely in a caring home where everyone’s needs are met. We believe that every individual deserves to feel loved, accepted, and experience a deep sense of belonging—not only within their immediate family, but also within the broader community that surrounds them.

As a Queensland‑based charity, we exist to strengthen families, protect children, and build on already wonderful communities. Our work is grounded in compassion, dignity, and the unwavering belief that every individual’s wellbeing is a shared community responsibility.

Our Fee for Service programs

We provide a range of services designed to keep children safe and strengthen family relationships. Our services include:

In Home family support (Early Intervention)

Kinship and Foster Carer Assessments

Parenting Capacity Assessments

Individualised project work

Our approach is holistic, trauma‑informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each family.

How our Fee for Service work supports our charitable work

As a charity deeply rooted in the Moreton Bay region, giving back is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to strengthening our local community.

All unused funding from our fee for service work goes straight back into our mission of supporting families through a *No Wrong Door Policy where we provide the following:

Free Counselling and Family Support

We provide accessible counselling services for children, young people, and families who may otherwise be unable to afford support. Our counsellors offer a safe, confidential space (usually in the family home if safe to do so) to work through trauma, stress, family conflict, and emotional challenges. This is for families not already supported through Child Safety.

Community Programs and Outreach

We invest in programs that build connection, resilience, and belonging—because strong communities create strong families. This includes workshops, peer support groups, and partnerships with local schools, organisations, and community leaders.

Supporting Families in Crisis

Through emergency assistance, advocacy, and wrap‑around support, we help families stabilise during difficult times and rebuild with dignity.

What is a No Wrong Door Policy?

No Wrong Door Policy is a service approach that ensures individuals and families can access the help they need no matter which agency, service, or staff member they first contact. Instead of being turned away or redirected without support, the person is welcomed, listened to, and connected to the right services—even if the initial service is not the one best placed to meet their needs.

Under a No Wrong Door approach:
The goal is to create a coordinated, person‑centred system where families receive timely, seamless support rather than being bounced between services or left to figure things out alone.
